Gordon Fraley
Gordon Fraley, Vice President of Development, began his career with The Kaempfer Company in 2001 as a Financial Analyst, joining Vornado/Charles E. Smith via its acquisition of The Kaempfer Company. In 2003 and 2004, Mr. Fraley was promoted to Development Associate and Assistant Development Manager and was a key team member in the pursuit and preliminary development plans to relocate Fannie Mae to Waterfront Station. In 2006, Mr. Fraley was promoted to Development Manager to oversee the entire Waterfront Station development and has successfully managed the repositioning of the project by negotiating a lease with the District of Columbia for over 500,000sf in two buildings, managing the Planned Unit Development entitlement process, negotiating the re-construction of 4th Street with the District of Columbia, acquiring the fee title from the District of Columbia, and positioning the balance of the project for future development. The first phase of Waterfront Station delivered in March 2010.
Mr. Fraley received the Vornado/Charles E. Smith President’s Award in 2006 and was honored by Bisnow as a 2008 “35 Under 35” recognizing the 35 top Washington, DC real estate professionals under the age of 35. Mr. Fraley is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and serves on the board of the District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA).
Mr. Fraley earned his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania holds a B.S. in Environmental and Urban Planning from the University of Virginia.
