Paul Sowter
Paul Sowter, Senior Vice President of Development, is the head of construction for all Vornado/Charles E. Smith development projects, including ground-up base building construction, with associated tenant construction, and large-scale building renovations.
Mr. Sowter has 30 years experience in the construction industry, including seven years of experience with two of Washington, D.C.’s largest general contractors. Prior to joining Vornado in April 2003, Mr. Sowter spent 15 years at The Kaempfer Company. As a partner and Executive Vice President of the firm, he was in charge of design and construction for all projects.
In his career, Mr. Sowter has overseen construction for over 10 million square feet of Class A base building construction and associated tenant work.
Mr. Sowter holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
